Mount Pleasant are the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup champions after securing a dramatic 2–2 draw with O&M FC of the Dominican Republic in Tuesday night’s second-leg final at the National Stadium, clinching a 3–2 aggregate triumph.
The defining moment arrived three minutes from full time, when Reggae Boyz midfielder Tyreek Magee produced the equalizer — a strike that levelled the match on the night and restored Mount Pleasant’s crucial one-goal aggregate cushion, overturning O&M’s temporary advantage on away goals following Julen Olagasati’s 69th-minute finish.
O&M FC had earlier been reduced to 10 men when Junior Capellan was sent off after 27 minutes, yet it was the visitors who struck first, grabbing the lead in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time through Herard Frantzety.
Mount Pleasant patiently fought their way back, and the momentum shifted in the 62nd minute when Warner Brown’s effort — initially ruled out for offside — was awarded after a VAR review, pulling the home side level and energizing the crowd in Kingston.
By virtue of reaching the final, both teams have secured qualification for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, where Mount Pleasant, as Caribbean champions, will receive a bye directly to the Round of 16.
The victory makes Mount Pleasant the second consecutive Jamaican club to lift the Caribbean Cup, following Cavalier’s title run in 2024.
