As the country continues to recover from Hurricane Melissa, Information Minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon says road clearing and communication network restoration efforts are steadily advancing with most major corridors reopened and telecom systems gradually coming back online.
Speaking in the Senate Friday, Dr. Morris Dixon reported that over 90% of blocked roads have been cleared, leaving fewer than 30 routes still closed.
She said the telecommunications sector is also showing measurable progress, as 73% of digital mobile sites are back online.
