Second suspect in murder of 2 police constables surrenders

Another suspect in the murder of two constables along Waltham Park Road in St. Andrew on Thursday has surrendered to the police.

Junior Brown reportedly turned himself in to the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch, last evening.

Brown was listed among three men being sought for the shooting deaths of 30-year-old Charles Stewart and 32-year-old Jemarey Gordon.

The constables were reportedly along Waltham Park Road when they got into an altercation with the suspects over the parking of stolen motor vehicles in front of their business place.

One of the suspects reportedly shot both cops in the upper body, killing them.

The prime suspect, Macarius Munroe, otherwise called “Macky” was the first to surrender to lawmen yesterday afternoon.

The third suspect, Cardel Insang, is being urged to turn himself in.
