Two people including a teen are dead and 12 others are injured following a crash along the Hellshire main road, in St. Catherine, this morning.

Dead are 17-year-old Ryan Tulloch of Tawes Meadows Spanish Town, and 31-year-old Javaughn Martin of Braeton Both in St. Catherine.

Reports are that at about 3am a white BMW motorcar and a Grey Honda Fit Shuttle were travelling in the same direction when they collided.

Ryan who was a passenger in the Honda Fit Shuttle, and Martin who was aboard the BMW died on the spot.

Head of the St. Catherine South Police Acting Senior Superintendent Leighton Gray said more than 10 others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

The latest crash pushes the number of people killed on the nation’s roads since the start of the year to 299.
