UPDATE: Police locate 14 y/o mother and her 10-month-old daughter in Manchester

Police have located 14-year-old Kenalya Burton and her 10-month-old daughter Kiera Burton in Mandeville, Manchester – one day after they were reported missing from their home in Pepper District, St. Elizabeth.

The teen, otherwise called ‘Kay Kay’ and her baby, known as ‘Blessing’ were the subject of a high alert issued on Sunday.

Police say they were located in Mandeville on Monday.

Two other 14 year olds who were reported missing  were found in their company. 

Kenalya and her daughter were handed over to the police in Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth.

The two were later released in the custody of Kenalya’s guardians and are to attend court in St. Elizabeth today. 

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency was also notified about the matter.
