The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) has refuted claims by the ruling Jamaica Labour Party that the JLP is better at handling the country’s economy.
While campaigning over recent weeks Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has made the economy a key point of his messages, highlighting the importance of having a stable economy.
He also pointed out that his administration has done a good job in keeping the economy strong.
However, General Secretary of the PNP, Dr. Dayton Campbell, has argued that the strength of the economy is due to the work of the PNP.
In the meantime, Dr. Campbell said, since the Holness administration has been in power, it has not built one government institution.
He claimed the PNP built a number of institutions and will be forming another institution – ‘The Agricultural Development Fund’ if the party should form the next government.
