Jamaica to make history at the 2026 Centenary Central American (CAC) Games in Fencing

Jamaica will create history at the 2026 Centenary Central American (CAC) Games in Santo Domingo as the country  will be represented in the sport of fencing by four females.

Jamaica will be represented in the female individual and team Epée competitions by three fencers and also a female Sabre Fencer all of whom competed and qualified for the CAC Games recently at the 2025 central american and Caribbean Fencing championships in Guatemala City.

Epée Fencers, Caitlin Chang and Dr. Claudine Williams, who were both were part of the historic 2018 CAC Games fencing team, were joined by Dr. Sharmella martin and teenager Mya Spears who secured a place in the Sabre discipline.

Meantime, President of the Jamaica Olympic Association Christopher Samuda says it will continue to partner with the Jamaica Fencing Association in its drive to be on the Olympic stage
