Minister of Labour and Social Security Pearnel Charles Junior, is stressing the importance of timely contribution payments to the National Insurance Scheme (NIS).
He says, making consistent payments will help build a stronger and more secure future.
The minister notes that as the NIS prospers, it will allow for greater increases to be granted to beneficiaries.
He adds that now is the time to act, highlighting that over 130,000 pensioners have already benefited from making their NIS contributions.
He was speaking at the National Insurance Scheme’s 59th Anniversary Church Service this morning.
