Delegates of the Jamaica Labour Party in North East Manchester have welcomed Senator Ambassador Audrey Marks as the party’s aspirant for the constituency in the next general election.
Following a workers’ meeting at the Christiana Christ Church yesterday, Marks, who is a newcomer to representational politics, said she is grateful for the warm welcome extended to her.
She also expressed confidence that she will contribute positively to the constituency especially leading up to the next general polls.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Marks said she has received the support of Craighead Councillor Omar Mitchell and Holmwood Technical High School’s Principal, Hidran McKulsky, who both had an interest in replacing Member of Parliament for the constituency, Audley Shaw.
Valenton Wint is expected to contest the election on behalf of the People’s National Party.
