Jamaica’s murder tally has surpassed the three hundred (300) mark.
This as 303 people were killed in the country up to yesterday Saturday, June 14.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, this is 240 fewer murders than the 543 recorded in the same period last year.
The St. Andrew South Division had the highest number of murders with 42 followed by St. Catherine South with 28.
Trelawny and St. Elizabeth saw the lowest number of murders with 6 each.
the JCF is also reporting that cases of rape declined by 67.
Meanwhile robberies went up by 16 and break-ins by 88.
