President and Chief Executive Officer of Marathon Insurance Brokers (MIB) Limited Levar Smith has been appointed President of the Jamaica Insurance Brokers Association (JIBA).

In a statement last evening, MIB congratulated Mr. Smith on his appointment.

MIB noted that Mr. Smith, who previously served as JIBA’s Vice President, brings over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new role.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Smith said he looks forward to working with colleagues to advocate for greater industry standards, innovation and sustainable growth while keeping the interests of clients at the centre of JIBA’s mission.
