A 62-year-old chef and taxi operator was shot and killed by unknown assailants along the Beverly Main Road in St. Ann yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Christopher Ramjeet, otherwise called “Tiffa,” from Comfort Hill.

Reports from the Runaway Bay police indicate that around 8 A.M., Ramjeet was driving a white Toyota Probox when unknown assailants opened fire on the vehicle.

Ramjeet was shot multiple times in the upper body, causing the vehicle to crash into an embankment.

Police found Ramjeet unresponsive in the driver’s seat with gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
