2025 CG United Women’s Super50 Cup officially launched: Tournament returns to St. Kitts

Regional women’s cricket return to St. Kitts with the staging of the 2025 CG United Women’s Super50 Cup. The tournament is set to take place from February 24 to March 7 with matches being played across three premier venues in St. Kitts—Warner Park, Conaree Cricket Centre, and the St. Paul’s Sports Complex.

The regional competition will feature six teams, including defending champions Jamaica, as well as Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Windward Islands, and hosts Leeward Islands.

Jamaica will kick off their title defense in an exciting opening encounter against Trinidad & Tobago at Warner Park. The other first-round matches will see the Windward Islands face off against the Leeward Islands at St. Paul’s Sports Complex, while Barbados will take on Guyana at Conaree Cricket Centre.

The top two teams from the group stages will advance to the final, scheduled for March 7 at Warner Park. The third-place playoff will take place at Conaree, and a 5th place decider will be hosted at St. Paul’s on the same day.

CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe expressed his excitement at the start of the tournament saying,

“This tournament isn’t just a competition but a celebration of the incredible strides we’ve made in women’s cricket across the Caribbean. We are seeing phenomenal talent emerging from every corner of the region and watching these players battle it out on the field is going to be something special.”

“With our international tours on the horizon and the impending ODI World Cup coming up, the timing couldn’t be better to showcase the strength of West Indies women’s cricket. We are particularly excited for cricket fans in St. Kitts to see once again, some of our rising stars in action as the future of women’s cricket in the Caribbean looks brighter than ever.”

This year’s edition of the Women’s Super50 Cup serves as a precursor to what is shaping up to be a busy international calendar for the West Indies Women’s team following their dominant ODI and T20I series victories against Bangladesh in St. Kitts in January.
