The Electoral Office of Jamaica, (EOJ) says it remains prepared for Nomination Day tomorrow despite adverse weather conditions affecting the island.

Nomination of candidates for the St. Andrew Northwestern and Trelawny Southern constituencies, the Aenon Town and Morant Bay divisions open tomorrow.

Director of Elections, Glasspole Brown, says all is in place for nomination day.

Nominations for Aenon Town in Clarendon Northern and Morant Bay in St. Thomas Eastern will take place between 12 noon and 2:00 P.M.

Both the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and the People’s National Party (PNP) are expected to nominate candidates.

Meanwhile, nominations for St. Andrew Northwestern and Trelawny Southern will be accepted between 10 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

The PNP said it would not contest those by-elections.

The elections are slated to be held on Friday, November 22.
