Internationally certified Jamaican basketball referee Ricardo Hayles has been nominated to officiate in the upcoming FIBA Centrobasket under 15 Championship in Mexico next month. 

The competing countries include the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Panama to play in group A, while the Dominican Republic, El-Salvador and host Mexico will do battle in group B’ .

In the group phase, each team will play once against each rival in their group, then the top two teams will advance to the semi-finals. 

The winners of each semi-final will face off in the final , while the third and fourth-placed teams will continue playing for positions 5 through 7.

The top three teams of the competition will qualify for the FIBA under 16 Americup 2025.
