Creatives desirous of a platform to showcase their talent can now submit entries for the 2025 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Festival of the Performing Arts Competition.

The JCDC in a release, shared that the agency is now accepting entries from individuals, schools, churches and community groups in a range of disciplines including music, dance, speech, drama and traditional folk forms for the annual Festival.

The agency says it is inviting creatives to submit entries early via their website, noting that early submission will allow time for thorough preparation and perfection of performances. Entries close on December 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, the JCDC is hosting a series of training and development workshops up to December 6. The workshops will focus on key areas aimed at supporting the holistic development of participants and are designed to prepare creatives for the 2025 season of the competition by providing clear guidance on registration and all other aspects of the competition process.
