Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz on Monday secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League while booking their place in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
This after they battled to a goalless draw with Honduras in their league a Group B clash for top spot at the National Stadium.
Jamaica top the group with 8 points with Honduras finishing with 7 points to make progress ahead of Nicaragua on goal difference.
Coach Steve McClaren says the result was more important than the performance.
Nicaragua secured a come from behind 3-2 win over French Guiana at the Nicaragua National Stadium in Managua for to finish third in the group also with 7 points , and maintained their league A status and also qualified for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup preliminary rounds.
French Guiana finished sixth in the group and will drop to league B’ in the next edition.
In the meantime Trinidad and Tobago won 3-1 against Cuba for their first win of the campaign to end 4th in the group.
This sees them maintaining league a status and qualify for the Gold Cup preliminaries while Cuba finished fifth in the group and were relegated to League B .
