Acting Managing Director at the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) Owen Ellington says he is satisfied that the state-owned bus company is operating more efficiently.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Mr. Ellington explained that the company conducted peak-hour surveys on the roads which revealed that commuters were being picked up on time and were travelling in a more comfortable and dignified manner.
He pledged that continuous assessments will be conducted to ensure the company effectively responds to the nation’s transportation needs.
On September 6, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz noted that staff morale and efficiency were the two main areas of focus in the Government’s plan to boost operations at the state-owned bus company.
