Administrative, Technical and Auxiliary workers attached to the University of Technology (UTECH) say their spirits are dampened by the ongoing issues relating to the Government’s compensation review process.
UTECH’s Administrative Staff Association (UTASA) has long been calling for wage negotiations with the Finance Ministry to be settled.
UTASA President Jeanette Grayson told IRIE FM News that the Government’s conclusion of talks with the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions last week has compounded the feeling of neglect by UTASA members.
She said it is hoped that promises for a meeting this week with the Ministry’s Transformation Implementation Unit will be upheld.
