A man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle crash on the Salem main road in St. Ann this morning. 

Dead is Daniel McFarlane of Rio Bueno, Trelawny. 

Reports are that about 4:00 A.M., Mcfarlane was driving a white Toyota Mark X motor car along the roadway when it collided with another vehicle and burst into flames.

Head of the St. Ann Police Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell said McFarlane, who sustained multiple injuries and was trapped in the vehicle succumbed to his injuries.

He said speeding was a contributory factor.
