Two people died as a result of injuries they sustained in a motor vehicle collision along the Duncans Bypass in Trelawny this morning.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
Reports are that at about 11:30 A.M., a white Toyota Voxy motor car was being driven towards Duncans when the driver attempted to overtake a line of traffic and collided head on into a white Toyota Corolla motor car which was being driven in the opposite direction.
The driver and a passenger of the Toyota Corolla motorcar sustained severe head injuries and were taken to the Falmouth Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Head of the Trelawny Police, Deputy Superintendent Winston Milton told IRIE FM News that speeding contributed to the fatal crash.
