Prime Minister Andrew Holness toured sections of the island today, which were ravaged by Hurricane Beryl.
The Category 4 storm swept across several parishes yesterday, resulting in damage to roads, homes and other infrastructure.
Earlier this afternoon, Mr. Holness did an aerial view of Rocky Point in Clarendon and sections of St. Elizabeth, which reportedly suffered significant damage.
Mr. Holness noted that Jamaica is now in the recovery phase.
Speaking with Canadian Media (CBC) this morning Holness noted that the recovery phase entails assessments and allocation of additional funding where necessary.
