Former World 100 meter Champion Yohan Blake is of the view that he’s not getting the respect from the Jamaican people that he deserves.
Blake was speaking after finishing at the back of the field in the men’s 100 metre event at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in London on Saturday where he registered a pedestrian 10.23 seconds.
The former St. Jago standout who is the second fastest man in history behind the legendary Usain Uolt had announced that this year would have been his final Olympic campaign….But missed out on qualifying when he was not among the finalists at the National Championships last month.
According to Blake, injuries are to be blamed for his sub par performances this season……..although he still believes he can be among the best.
