Main person of interest in Tuesday’s triple murder in Canterbury, St.James now in police custody

The main person of interest in Tuesday’s triple murder in Canterbury, St. James is now in police custody.

Commanding Officer for the St. James Division Superintendent Eron Samuels says John Lee Roach turned himself into the Falmouth Police yesterday.

His alleged accomplice Kasheem Lewis, otherwise called Borderline, is still being sought.

Lewis and Roach were named in relation to the killing of 17 year old Jaydon Bennett, 26 year old Rashaun Williams and 62 year old fisherman David West.

Reports are that at about 5:05 P.M. on Tuesday, officers responding to reports of a shooting came under gun fire and took evasive action. 

The gunmen reportedly escaped in a gully leaving behind two firearms.

Superintendent Samuels says Roach will be facing a number of charges.
