Defending champions Denver Nuggets, fresh off winning their first-ever NBA championship, will aim to start the new season on a high note when they face the Los Angeles Lakers in the opening game of the new season. 

Tonight’s encounter is a repeat of last season’s western conference finals won 4 nil by the nuggets on route to beating the Miami heat to claim the title.

The other game on the night sees the new look phoenix suns playing away at former champions Golden State Warriors who now include veteran point guard Chris Paul who spent the previous 3 seasons in phoenix.

Former Jamaica College standout Nick Richards in the meantime will be in action tomorrow for the Charlotte Hornets against the visiting Atlanta Hawks.
