Two men were fatally shot by the police in separate incidents between yesterday and this morning. 

The deceased are 30 year old Kurt Thompson of Buckan Avenue Kingston 20 and an unidentified man. 

the incidents occurred in St. Mary and St. Andrew.

In the latest incident this morning, the unidentified man was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with police in Spring Valley Heights in St. Mary. 

Police say a 9mm Glock pistol with a magazine containing 11 rounds was seized during the incident.

And in the other incident yesterday, Thompson was fatally shot by police on Bolivair View, in New Haven, Kingston 20.

Police allegedly seized a Pan Intratec AD-10 9mm luger sub machine gun during that incident. 

The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau IPROB and the Independent Commission of Investigation are probing the incidents.

Since the start of the year at least 74 people have been fatally shot by members of the security forces.
