2 brothers among 3 fatally shot by police in St. Catherine, INDECOM commences probe
The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM is probing two separate police fatal shootings which resulted in the deaths of three men in St. Catherine, yesterday.
Dead are brothers, 44 year old Everton Spike and 33 year old Jason Spikey.
The other deceased has been identified as Roussani Alexander.
Alexander was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with lawmen along Port Henderson Road, while Everton and Jason succumbed to wounds sustained during an alleged shoot-out with police along the Spanish Town Bypass.
A firearm was reportedly seized from each of the men.
No body-worn camera was reported as being issued or worn by the officers in any of the incidents.
INDECOM says a probe has commenced into both incidents.
Since the start of the year, 35 persons have been fatally shot by members of the security forces.
Seven of those deaths occurred this month.
