A 19-year-old hairdresser, who reportedly helped to hide her partner from the police, has been charged with misprision of a felony and accessory after the fact.

She is Jada Anderson of Dolphin Way, Portmore, St. Catherine.

Reports from the Portmore police are that Anderson became aware of a crime that was allegedly committed by her partner, but instead of making a report to the police, cops say she assisted in hiding him and prevented his arrest.

She was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 3, during a search for the man and later charged.

A court date is being arranged.
