181 people killed up to Saturday

One hundred and eighty-one people were killed in the country up to Saturday, March 29.

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, this is 96 fewer than the 277 murders recorded in the same period last year.

The St. Andrew South Division had the highest number of murders with 28, followed by St. Catherine South with 18.

Trelawny saw the least murders with 2.

The JCF is also reporting that cases of rape declined by 68 and robberies by 17.

Meanwhile, break-ins increased by 65.
