A 17-year-old male has been charged with gun possession and other offences, in  connection with an incident on Deanery Road, Kingston 3 on Sunday, June 1.

The teen was charged with wounding with intent, conspiracy to wounding with intent, using a firearm to commit a felony, unauthorized possession of firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that at about 2:28 A.M.,  the boy and his accomplice armed with handguns, approached a woman who was in the process of reversing a motor car and demanded her property. 

The woman refused and drove off ; the two reportedly opened fire hitting the woman. 

The woman drove to the hospital, where she was treated and released.

A report was made to the police and the teen was held on Thursday, June 5 and charged on Friday, June 6.

His court date has not been finalized.
