1060 people murdered since the start of the year
1060 people have been murdered in the country since the start of the year.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, this toll recorded as at Saturday November 30, is 228 fewer, than the 1, 288 murders recorded in the same time last year.
St. James accounts for the highest number of murders with 118, followed by St. Andrew South with 112.
Portland recorded the lowest with 13.
Meanwhile, incidents of rape, robbery and break-ins also decreased.
Cases of rape declined by 112, robberies by 144 and break-ins decreased by 13.
