The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting an increase in water levels at the Hermitage Dam and Mona Reservoir due to recent rainfall.
Speaking with IRIE FM News this afternoon, Corporate Public Relations Manager at NWC Delano Williams noted that the Mona Reservoir increased by 0.1 percent, equivalent to 4.1 million gallons.
He said the Hermitage Dam increased by 2.6 million gallons.
Mr Williams said while the systems are practically at the same level the rains are encouraging.
In the meantime, he said the company will continue to monitor facilities in other areas of the island.
He is calling on the nation not to overestimate the small periods of rainfall.
