Axed! Molynes United sees enough of Jermaine Thomas

Written byRoger Hasfal

Irie FM sports understands that Jermaine Thomas of Molynes United has become the first coaching casualty for the 2026 Legends Jamaica Premier League season.

Molynes have gotten off to a poor start this season and yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Mount Pleasant proved to be the final straw that broke the camel’s back.

It was Molynes’ sixth defeat from eight games this season which saw them hovering just above the relegation zone in 12th spot on six points and with only two wins.

Thomas took charge of Molynes during the 2023–24 season after Alex Thomas was sacked and subsequently guided the club through trying times, including relegation battles over the past two seasons.

Previously Thomas who coaches Dacosta Cup team Mcgrath High, coached at Rivoli united, Federal united, Mico College University and was a member of the Reggae Girlz coaching staff in 2023 for two games.

Irie fm also understands that former Racing United coach Anthony Patrick is set to replace Thomas at Molynes.
