Sunshine Girls captain Shamera Sterling-Humphrey, has been appointed as baton bearer and captain of the Jamaican delegation to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games from July 23 to August 2 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Sterling Humphrey was earlier this week named as captain of the Sunshine Girls team for the multi-sport games.

President of the Jamaica Netball association Karen Rosen-Baugh says they are all proud of the consideration by the Jamaica Olympic Association.

Jamaica is scheduled to compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games featuring teams in track and field, netball, and 3×3 basketball.

This will mark the country’s 19th appearance at the Commonwealth Games after making its debut in 1934.
