Nicholas Symmonds reportedly drafted in Reggae Boys squad for Unity Cup
Former national under 20 player Nicholas Symmonds is reported to have been drafted by coach Rudolph Speid in the national squad for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament later this month in England.
Simmonds who was drafted thrd overall by FC Dallas in the 2026 MLS Superdraft made his debut for the Under 20 Reggae Boys in 2024, after representing Jamaica at the Under 17 level in 2023.
Symmonds who signed a generation Adidas contract prior to the 2026 MLS Superdraft last December is in the FC Dallas squad which will face Vancouver Whitecaps this evening in mls action.
In the meantime Kaheim Dixon is among the England based players confirmed for the 4 team tournament which will include Nigeria, India and Zimbabwe.
Jon Russel, Mason Holgate, Dexter Lembikisa, Isaac Hayden, Greg Leigh, Kasey Palmer and Jamal Lowe are also reportedly confirmed along with local based players Tafari Chambers and Raheem Edwards of Mount Pleasant , Adrian Reid of Cavalier and Nickalia Fuller of Tivoli Gardens.
Jamaica will face India on May 27 in one semi-final at the Valley at Charlton after the opening semi-final between Nigeria and Zimbabwe a day earlier.
The semi-final winners will face off in the final on May 30, following the third place decider between the losing semi-finalists.
