Chelsea sacks manager Liam Rosenior
Chelsea have sacked manager Liam Rosenior just three months after he signed a six-year contract with the Premier League club.
The decision follows a 3-nil defeat to Brighton, which extended Chelsea’s run to five consecutive Premier League losses without scoring, marking their worst league form in 114 years.
Rosenior had publicly criticised his players, calling their performance ‘indefensible’ after the Brighton match.
Meamnwhile, Calum McFarlane will take over as Interim Head Coach until the end of the season, starting with Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Leeds.
Cesc Fabergas and Filipe Luis have both been linked to the Job.
The club stated they would undertake a process of self-reflection to make a long-term appointment, despite co-owner Behdad Eghbali having recently expressed support for Rosenior.
