Jahmarie Nolan’s hatrick powers Jamaica to 9-nil crushing of the Cayman Islands

Super-sub Jahmarie Nolan struck a sensational second-half hat-trick in guiding  Jamaica to a 9-nil crushing of the Cayman Islands last night. 

This in their group B’ Concacaf Under-20 qualifiers at the Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.

Odane Wilberforce opened the scoring in the 19th minute, rising to head home a corner kick into the lower left corner.

Captain Giovanni Taylor then doubled the advantage in the 28th minute, and was again on the score sheet five minutes later to extend the lead.

Orel miller made it 4-nil in the 52nd minute, while claver nugent added another in the 71st and Jabarie Howell score in the 88th minute to make it 6 nil.

coming off the bench earlier, in the 60th minute, Nolan made an immediate impact, finding the net in the 78th minute again in the 90th, and once more in stoppage time to cap a dominant night for the Rudolph Austin coached junior Reggae Boys.

It was Jamaica’s third consecutive win in the group, following victories over Bonaire and the Turks and caicos islands, as the Reggae Boys have now scored 19 goals in three matches so far

With the win the Jamaicans tightened their grip on group B, with 9 points, the same as Puerto Rico who stayed second also on 9 points but with an inferior goal difference. 

Jamaica returns to action on Sunday when they tackle St Kitts & Nevis at 7:00 pm Jamaica Time.

Meanwhile, in other group B’ games, second place Puerto rico skipped past the Turks and Caicos 4-nil , while the points were shared in the one all draw between St Kitts and Nevis and Bonaire.
