Reggae Girls beat Aruba 2-nil in Concacaf Women’s Under 17 qualifiers
Jamaica’s Junior Reggae Girls recorded their first victory in the Concacaf Women’s Under 17 qualifier on Tuesday night.
This after goals from Ricquanna Richards and substitute Elizabeth Miller powered them to a 2-nil blanking of host Aruba at the Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad.
Richards opened the scoring in the 46th minute, while second-half substitute Miller doubled the lead in minute 62.
Following the win last night, the Jamaicans are now second in the group D ‘ standings on four points, after their one all draw in the opening game against Guyana on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Honduras leads the standings on maximum 6 points, following their 15 nil hammering of St Vincent and Grenadines on Tuesday night.
The Reggae Girls will be back in action later today, when they tackle St Vincent and the Grenadines this afternoon at 1pm Jamaica time .
