Justin Greaves’ century against New Zealand among the top five WIsden batting performances

West Indies batsman Justin Greave’s recent double century against New Zealand has earned him a place among the top batting performers in the test format. 

This after his unbeaten 202 in the first test against New Zealand back in December has landed him in fifth spot on the Wisden’s top five men’s test innings of the year. 

Before the double century he scored four centuries at the first class format,  but at the test level , he holds a batting average of approximately 30.00  across 14 matches or 28 innings, in which he has scored a total of 712 runs.

The number 1 spot is held by South Africa’s aiden Markram for the second year in a row. 

Markram scored a brilliant 136 runs off 207 balls in the fourth innings to guide South Africa to their first ICC title in 27 years, when they defeated Australia in the 2025 World Test Championship final at Lord’s.
