Former Excelsior high athlete Shantae Foreman was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

This after an impressive triple jump showing representing Clemson University in the Tigers’ home meet. 

Foreman reknowned for her prowess in the high jump, leads both the ACC and NCAA after leaping 13.84-meters at the Clemson Invitational last weekend. 

The mark also moves Doreman into second-place in Clemson History, just one-hundredth of a meter behind Patricia Mamona’s program record set in 2010

At the same meet former Edwin Allen High athlete Jessica Mclean, a Sophomore at Clemson, produced  an exceptional display in the women’s 1000 meters event, setting a personal best of 2 minutes:53.59

Former were Technical thrower Marie Forbes, a senior from Clemson, launchrd an impressive 21.86 meters to claim victory in the shot putt while in the mens’s equivalent, former Petersfield high thrower Daniel Cope, a senior from Clemson, dominated the men’s weight throw finals with a mighty throw of 21.31 meters.
