Busy Signal is the latest entertainer to pay homage to rapper Fatman Scoop following his sudden passing over the weekend.
The award-winning rapper and hype man died on Saturday after suffering a medical emergency on stage during an event. He was 53.
Following the news of his passing, Busy Signal via his verified Instagram account, paid tribute with a post of their 2011 collaboration. The song titled “Wine De Best” features Busy Signal, Fatman Scoop, and Kano.
Last Friday (Aug 30), a video circulating on the internet showed Fatman Scoop appearing to suffer a medical emergency and collapsing on stage while performing during a concert at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut.
Fatman Scoop had a celebrated career, working with artists like Mariah Carey and Missy Elliott.
He was featured on songs such as Elliott’s “Lose Control,” which won the Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video.
The rapper is also known for tracks like his 1999 hit “Be Faithful.”
