The launch for Intimate Concert held at ROK Hotel in Kingston last evening was a night to remember!
Despite the two-hour delay, attendees patiently “limed” and waited for the event to start, showcasing the true spirit of Jamaica’s music fans.
The highly anticipated concert, scheduled for January 4, 2025, at Plantation Cove in Priory, promises to be an unforgettable experience. The lineup features an impressive array of Jamaican music legends, including Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, General B, Wayne Wonder and Romain Virgo.
Speaking at the function, Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay, Micheal Belnavis, assured patrons a safe space with proper policing to alleviate last year’s issues. Vonnie Koromanti, Proprietor of Plantation Cove, announced the implementation of a third entrance to the venue with four exits, this she says will ease congestion and prevent traffic mishaps. Event Producer Marlon Burke, echoed that the lineup reflects the caliber of the event. He underlined that with Buju and Beres headlining, fans can expect electrifying performances.
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport Olivia Babsy Grange made a major announcement – a health and life insurance policy for industry players, providing much-needed support and security to those in the sector.
The event concluded with Beres Hammond encouraging patrons to attend and Marcia Griffiths thanking supporters for her 60th concert, culminating the night’s festivities with a lively dance to the “Electric Slide.”
