Love Iyah 78 for Nana Rita Marley

The Marley group of companies will be honouring matriarch Nana Rita Marley 78th birthday with a series fit for a queen.

In a release it was noted that this year’s celebrations dubbed Love Iyah 78 will be live streamed on Tuff Gong TV, SiriusXM and Youtube channel on July 25.

Subscribers will be treated to an exclusive preview of the Love Iyah 78 concert recording. The show boasts a line up of artistes spanning the spectrum of Jamaican music, including Admiral Tibet, Warrior King, Tifa, Sharon Marley, Big Youth, Jaz Elise and Grub Cooper and MC’d by Colin Hines.  

This year’s celebration will shine a spotlight on Dr Marley’s remarkable journey and will include readings from her book No Woman No Cry: My Life with Bob Marley exclusive scenes from the Bob Marley: One Love movie which will provide viewers with greater insights into Nana Rita’s life.

Born July 25, 1946, Rita Marley has dedicated her life to philanthropy and advocacy, using her influence to champion numerous causes as such, Love Iyah 78 aims to inspire viewers to tap into their philanthropic spirit.

Additionally for 2024, the Rita Marley scholarship is valued at 4 million and aims to support 10 women in completing their tertiary education.
