The Marley family, friends, industry players, and wellwishers gathered in Nine Miles St. Ann on Sunday to commemorate the life of Stephen Marley’s son, Jo Mersa Marley, who passed away in December last year.
Jo Mersa’s widow and his daughter, uncles Damian, Julian, Ky’Mani, and Rohan Marley, his mother Kerry-Ann, and his aunt Dancehall Queen Carlene were among those gathered to celebrate what would have been his 32nd birthday.
Capleton, Cham, and Spragga Benz were among the entertainers who performed to honour the birth of the young Marley.
On Sunday, Stephen Marley shared an image of himself along with his son which he captioned, “Joseph… I love you my son. Happy Earthstrong.”
On December 26, entertainer Jo Mersa Marley, the eldest son of Stephen Marley and grandson of Bob Marley, was found unresponsive in his car in Florida following a suspected asthma attack.
