World Athletics, has outlined a new qualification process for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo

Qualification will follow a dual-pathway system, with 50% of athletes qualifying through entry standards and the other 50% through world rankings.

“Road To Tokyo 25” tool which is an online tracking tool, has been launched to help athletes, media, and fans monitor the qualification progress for the Championships.

The tool updates athlete performance and qualification status across all disciplines in real time.

The tool does not indicate which athletes have been selected by their National Federations.

Final entries will be announced closer to the Championships.
