Thanksgiving service for the life of Alf Remeike set for November 2

The thanksgiving service for the life late National Basketball Co-ordinator Alf Remeike will be held on the second of November at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on North Street in Kingston starting at 10 am. 

No burial will take place, as his remains will be cremated. 

A set up the night before will be held at the National Stadium Courts, for the Stalwart who served the Jamaica Basketball Association for over 35 years, and who was instrumental in the development of many national players, through the Star Search Basketball Camp, the Jump Ball Summer Camp as well as the Milo under 14 league. 

The former administrator, player, coach and National Co-ordinator died on September 28 at the Spanish Town Hospital two days after he was found unresponsive at his home.

Meanwhile, a repast will be held for Remeike at the St Georges College Auditorium starting at 1pm.
