Sprinter Michelle-lee Ahye and javelin thrower Keshorn Walcott crowned T&T athletes of the year

Sprinter Michelle-lee Ahye and javelin thrower Keshorn Walcott have been crowned Trinidad and Tobago female and male athletes of the year, respectively.

Ahye was a finalist in the women’s 100-metres, women’s 200m and women’s 4x100m events at the Olympic Games in Rio in August 2016 while Walcott, the 2012 Javelin gold medalist from the London Olympics, won bronze in Brazil and was the only medal winner for his country at the Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, Cleopatra Borel, Walcott’s training partner was named most outstanding female athlete.
