Spanish Town Taxi Operators to meet with Transport Minister

by June 19th, 2017

Representatives from the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, TODSS, along with taxi operators from Spanish Town are to meet with the transport minister on Wednesday (June 21).

The meeting follows a protest by some 40 taxi operators last week, who withdrew their service, disgruntled over what they say, is unfair treatment from some police officers.

President of TODSS, Edgeton Newman, says the operators want to hear the minister’s plans for a city taxi service, which would give them freedom of movement within the town.

Mr. Newman says, he hopes some of the major issues the Spanish Town taxi operators are having will be resolved.
