Relief supplies to be airlifted to residents who remain marooned

Social Security Minister, Shahine Robinson, says relief supplies are to be airlifted to some residents, who remain cut-off, due to landslides or flooding.

Flood rains wreaked havoc on several communities over the weekend destroying homes and properties.

Mrs Robinson says, efforts are being coordinated with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management.


She says, residents badly affected by the flooding, are receiving food and care packages.

They are also expected to receive mattresse, stoves, and cash grants.


She was part of the prime ministers delegation which toured  some flood ravaged areas of the country yesterday (May 17).
