Proposed CPL T/20 matches in the Brian Lara stadium this summer remains uncertain despite the opening of the facility which is set for later this year.

The stadium, which is undergoing its finishing touches after 12 years of construction and overruns that have run over $US100 million, is expected to be officially declared open in May.

However, minister of sport in Trinidad Darryl smith confirmed that work on the pitch was yet to be completed.

The CPL competition is scheduled to get under way in June and the organizers have reportedly shown an interest in the facility.
